Getting your brow tint right doesn't stop once the colour's developed. What you do in the first 24 hours after is just as important as the application itself, so here's exactly what to do (and what to leave alone).
Right after you tint: removing it properly
Once your processing time is up, remove the tint gently with damp cotton. Avoid alcohol-based products at this stage; they can affect how the colour settles and aren't needed for removal.
This step is worth taking slowly rather than rushing. Gentle pressure with the damp cotton is all it takes.
The first 24 hours: what to skip
For 24 hours after your application, skip skincare products on the brow area altogether. That means no cleansers, serums, or other active products over your brows, and holding off on washing the area directly.
This gives the tint the settling time it needs without interference. It's a small window, but it's the one step that's easy to forget the first time you use the kit.
What to avoid altogether
- Alcohol-based products on the brow area, both during removal and in the days that follow.
- Skincare or cleansers directly over the brows within that first 24-hour window.
- Oil-based cleansers or heavy skincare on the brow area for 24 to 48 hours.
- Exfoliating acids and retinols on the brow area for the first few days.
A quick reminder on patch testing
Aftercare starts before you even apply. A patch test is required 48 to 72 hours before your first full application, and it's worth doing every time you try a new shade for the first time. Avoid applying to broken, irritated, or freshly tattooed skin.
