Whether your brows are big and bold, soft and beautifully arched or strikingly straight they will always need a bit of TLC to keep them looking their best.
At Alison Jade, our eyebrow stylists will expertly wax, tweeze, cut, tint and bleach your brows to leave you with a perfectly shaped set to suit your face and features. But while your brows may be on point as you step out of the salon, how do you maintain them between appointments?
Here are some tips for perfect brows every day...
1. Brush those brows
A little grooming goes a long way. Just the same as you would brush your hair in the morning, brush your brows to gently comb your eyebrow hairs back into place and restore order to your overall brow shape. A good brush will spread the hairs out evenly, giving you a naturally fuller look that will instantly open up your face. For some people a quick brush is all their brows need to stay put but if you think a little extra help is required, try the Alison Jade Brow Fixx, a multi-tasking gel that will tame, condition and tint your brows all in one.
2. Fill in the blanks
If you prefer a bolder look or have naturally sparse brows you would like to fill in, the Alison Jade Brow Palette is your new best friend. The palette is a fabulous way to keep brows looking groomed and gorgeous with four powders to custom blend to a natural brow colour. It also includes an angled brush for clean and precise application, and a wax cream to hold the perfect shape all day. Apply wax to your brows and then using the angled brush, apply the powder over the wax. Using the spoolie end of the brush, groom your brows into shape which will also blend the product, creating a multi-dimensional texture and defined look.
3. Stay or stray?
Strays are an inevitable annoyance and while it might be tempting to rush straight for your tweezers think about the position of the strays first! Stray hairs which sit close to the edge of your brow shape can usually be easily covered with a highlighter or some light powder until your brow stylist is able to expertly remove them. Covering the strays also has the added advantage of further defining your brows and really making them pop. Try our Dual Brow Highlighter applied directly beneath the brow and blended well along the browbone to define and highlight the area.
If covering is not an option and you do decide to tweeze, make sure you are removing the hair from the root and not just breaking it off. If the whole hair is not removed it can result in an in-grown hair which will be much worse than that stray ever was! A good pair of angled tweezers are a must in any eyebrow kit.
