Trend #1: Winged Eyeliner

Winged eyeliner is arguably the biggest beauty trend of 2014, so it was no surprise to see it taking centre stage at VAMFF. And don’t be afraid to make it bigger, bolder and edgier!

Master the flick with teeny-tiny strokes, rather than one swift movement. Where your eyebrows end should be the direction that your liner goes. So if you kept drawing your liner and eyebrow would connect.

Trend #2: Metallic lids

Gilded lids are bang on trend this autumn/winter, and these rich pigmented hues make you feel all polished, fancy and sophisticated. This is a fantastic way to glam up any winter look!

Trend #3: Full, natural brows

Full brows are here to stay! Hallelujah! – And may the dreaded ‘90s tadpole brow NEVER see the light of day again! It’s all about tailoring a look to suit you. Everyone has a different brow shape – so rather than trying to create a particular brow shape, it’s best to work with your own natural shape and then concentrate on filling it in or extending it if you’re in the mood for a bolder, more dramatic look!

Winged liner continued to be the must-have look throughout the week. Cameo, Finders Keepers, Keepsake, Rodeo Show and Talulah all featured a bold winged eye, this time paired with contoured cheek-bones and a nude lip. Divine!
